
Chris Reed’s career in sports-based youth development spans professional sports, non-profit sector & multiple municipalities. Chris has been responsible for building youth sport programs and initiatives from the ground up that prioritize underserved communities. He’s managed recreational programming for over 8 years for the cities of DC, Raleigh & Beverly Hills.
Transforming Communities through the Power of Sports Management and Engagement
Chris is a Washington D.C. native who has had the opportunity to work for his hometown teams serving as the manager of youth basketball for the Washington Wizards, and Director of Programs for the Washington Nationals managing & directing their community-based program team for 6 years.
Chris has also worked with various sports teams including the Milwaukee Bucks, Detroit Pistons, Chicago Cubs and Boston Red Sox as a consultant supporting their youth and community efforts. Whether facilitating trauma-informed youth sports training, coaching, or teaching students hands-on sports management curriculums, Chris champions the power, impact and influence sports can have - especially in underserved communities. Chris now serves as Director, National Partnerships for The Center for Healing & Justice Through Sport.
